Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application of case-tracking management based on cloud platform in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) after discharge.

Methods

100 HIE children admitted to the South Hospital of the Third People's Hospital of Yancheng from March 2018 to March 2020 were included, and were divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method, with 50 cases each. The control group was given the routine health education; and the observation group was given case-tracking management based on cloud platform plus the routine health education. The physical and intellectual development, compliance of family members, and the incidence of sequelae were compared between the two groups.

Results

There was no significant difference in weight, height and head circumference between the two groups at discharge, 12 months and 24 months (P>0.05). The developmental quotient (DQ) values in the observation group at 12 months and 24 months were (85.36±17.69) points and (88.43±20.64) points, respectively, which were higher than those in the control group at discharge of (74.26±11.08) points, 12 months of (75.19±22.07) points, and 24 months of (76.91±21.38) points, with all the differences statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of treatment adherence, regular visit and symptom observation of family members in the observation group were (3.69±1.12) points, (3.53±1.04) points and (3.47±1.10) points, respectively, which were higher than those in the control group of (2.68±0.78) points, (2.74±0.70) points and (2.95±0.74) points, with all the differences statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of sequela in the observation group was 8.00% (4/50), which was lower than that in the control group [26.00% (13/50)], with the difference statistically significant (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The case-tracking management based on cloud platform for HIE children can promote the intelligence development of children, reduce the occurrence of sequelae, and improve the compliance of family members.
