Recommendations for the management of patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia complicating acute strokes

Abstract

Abstract:

The outbreak of 2019 novel coronavirus diseases (COVID-19) has brought unprecedented challenges to the treatment of patients with acute strokes. Being treated for acute stroke while fighting against the COVID-19, patients need to be quickly screened for COVID-19 and be simultaneously classified according to the severity of stroke. In principle, the first is to reduce high-risk operations to reduce transmission of infection, and the second is to save lives of stroke patients and improve their prognosis.
