Abstract:

Cerebrovascular disease (CSVD) is one of the important causes of cognitive impairment, gait abnormalities, emotional disorders, and decreased daily living ability in elderly people. At present, it has been found that the incidence of CSVD, cognitive impairment, and emotional disorders in end-stage renal disease patients receiving continuous dialysis treatment is much higher than that of healthy individuals. This review reviews relevant literature in the past 5 years, elaborates on the current research status of CSVD in dialysis patients, and attempts to explore its pathogenesis, to attract attention from researchers and clinical physicians to the incidence and clinical symptoms of CSVD in dialysis patients.
