Abstract:

Stroke is one of the major diseases threatening the lives and health of the global population. With its high incidence, high disability rate, high mortality rate, and high recurrence rate, stroke has become a significant threat to public health. The "theory of cervical spondylosis associated with ischemic cerebrovascular disease" proposes that cervical spondylosis may lead to insufficient cerebral blood supply and trigger stroke by affecting the vertebral-basilar artery system. The cervical region is crucial for the flow of qi and blood, acting as the hub and bridge connecting the brain with the trunk and limbs. Many diseases are related to the disharmony of qi and blood in the cervical region. Our research team, based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of meridian circulation and the anatomical features of the cervical region, has innovatively proposed the seven cervical lines balancing therapy by utilizing bony landmark localization. This therapy can improve cerebral blood supply, calm the mind and replenish the marrow, balance the meridians in the cervical and back regions, relax the muscles and remove obstructions to relieve pain. The formula is concise and orderly, and the operation is simple and highly safe. It has potential applications in stroke prevention and chronic disease management.
