Abstract:

Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) is a noninvasive imaging technique without contrast agents. Through different imaging features such as ischemic penumbra and collateral flow, ASL can help to recognize ischemic stroke and predict prognosis. Multi-delay ASL is improved on the basis of the original technique, which makes it more widely used in cerebrovascular diseases. This article reviewed the value of ASL and its clinical application in the diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke, in which the multi-delay ASL is mainly introduced.

Key words: Stroke, Arterial spin labeling, Magnetic resonance imaging
