Intracerebral hemorrhage is a destructive neurological disease, accounting for 10% to 30% of stroke patients and presenting the highest mortality among stroke patients. Early hematoma expansion is one of the most serious factors for secondary injury of intracerebral hemorrhage. The prevention of hematoma enlargement is of great significance to improve the prognosis of intracerebral hemorrhage and to reduce mortality. This article summarizes the early hematoma expansion signs from the computed tomography characteristics, and provides a reference for the treatment and prognosis evaluation of patients.
