Abstract:

Cerebral venous sinus and venous thrombosis are collectively called cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), which is mainly seen in young and middle-aged women and has a low incidence rate and complex causes. The mechanisms underlying the development of CVT are still poorly understood. It is known that thrombosis is often accompanied by an immune-inflammatory response, which appears to be more widespread and unique in venous thrombosis. So far, there is a lack of review on the role of immune-inflammatory response in CVT. This article summarizes the mechanisms by which immune-inflammatory responses participate in thrombosis in high-risk states such as obesity, infection, and changes in sex hormone levels. Secondly, this article summarizes the mechanisms of secondary brain injury caused by factors such as innate immunity and systemic immunity in the central nervous system after thrombosis. Finally, the current research status of intervention on immune-inflammatory response targets to prevent and improve the prognosis of CVT is discussed. It is necessary to gain a deeper understanding of the role and mechanism of immune-inflammatory responses in CVT and to accelerate translational research to better improve disease prognosis.
